Care And Maintenance Tips
Wondering how to keep your new, beautiful countertops looking great for years to come? Want to avoid costly damage and expensive repairs for your natural stone tiling or shower walls? At our Austin custom stone company, we are committed to helping you get the most out of your residential or commercial product.
New Stone Concepts is a leading provider of both natural and engineered stone products, giving us the experience needed to assist with your questions. Whether you want to find a better way to clean your countertops or prefer to minimize the risk of damages to your granite, our professional team is here to answer all of your questions.
We offer the following care and maintenance tips for your benefit:
General Cleaning Tips: Providing daily care for your natural stone countertops is pretty basic. Both granite and marble can be cleaned with warm water mixed with non-detergent (pH neutral) dish soap. When you wipe down your countertops, you will want to make sure the dish soap doesn't contain any dyes or animal fats, which can leave unwanted residue behind. If tough build up occurs, soak rag with water and cleaner and leave it on top of the problem area for at least 10 minutes. It is important to avoid using harsh chemicals high in acid and alkaline.
Re-Sealing: If you would like to maintain stain resistance in your natural stone countertop, it is highly advised that you periodically apply sealer to your countertops. We suggest that you do this every six months to a year. With this sealing, your granite and marble will have a nonporous layer of protection, preventing stains and other damage.
